At Silver Key, we are dedicated to ensuring that the elderly in our community are not forgotten and have access to nutritious meals, not only during these challenging months but throughout the year.
We are thrilled to announce a special opportunity to make your contribution go even further. The Abram and Ray Kaplan Foundation has generously offered to match every dollar we raise to fight hunger between July 1 and October 31, 2024, up to $25,000. If we reach this goal, they will double the matching grant amount to an incredible $50,000, making it $75,000 in total!
The Pikes Peak region is home to many seniors who rely on our services for their daily sustenance. For some, the summer months can be particularly difficult due to increased living expenses and limited access to resources. Without adequate support, these vulnerable members of our community risk facing hunger and isolation. Additionally, many grandchildren who spend their summer with their grandparents lose access to school food programs, further straining household resources.
